Liste Art Fair Basel has been the international fair for young contemporary art for 26 years. Every year, over 80 galleries from 35 countries present artists who are outstanding representatives of the latest developments and trends in contemporary art. As a vibrant non-profit platform dedicated to contemporary art with an international reputation, we are looking for

As a fair for the younger generation, Liste is always in motion, responding to the latest trends and developments in contemporary art. We are looking for someone with a strong ability to develop and critically review ideas in the context of the art market and the younger generation of galleries. A high level of personal interest in contemporary art is required, and this should be reflected in an in-depth knowledge of the international contemporary art scene (galleries, curators, writers), regular visits to exhibitions and reading relevant art criticism platforms. You should have a good international network in the art world, which you can use to research young new galleries.

For the position, it is a prerequisite to have worked in the art world for a minimum of three years and to have relevant experience in the implementation of cultural events – in terms of content, organisation and communication. You are talented not only when it comes to organisational matters but also in multi-tasking, managing stress and working under pressure. You have very good skills in the use of 2 common digital technologies and excellent written and spoken English skills. German and French skills are also advantageous. You communicate with gallerists with the same ease as you do with your team and everyone else involved in Liste. You like to work with a small team, and maintaining flexible working hours in order to be able to react spontaneously to new situations are a matter of course for you.

The job can be done from any European art centre. Regular stays in Basel are expected, but moving to Basel is not required.

Please send your application in English or German, including a CV and motivation letter, to
