About COLLECTIBLE
COLLECTIBLE, the fair dedicated exclusively to 21st century contemporary collectible design, is looking for an intern to start as soon as possible. Considering the circumstances, remote working is possible and we therefore accept interns from all over the world.
COLLECTIBLE will hold its 4th edition from 27 to 30 Mai 2021 in the centre of Brussels. Conceived as a unifying platform and an exclusive meeting point in the heart of Europe, COLLECTIBLE brings together renowned international galleries and independent designers, all at the forefront of creativity, selected by a committee composed of distinguished figures from the world of design.

COLLECTIBLE is looking for an intern interested in learning all aspects of production and event coordination field. The intern who fills this position should expect to learn how to carry out an international event project from conception to achievement and will complete this internship ready to enter any cultural or event company with excellent practical skills.

The position of the production and partnership assistant is diversified and leaves space for personal initiative. It’s essential that applicants to this position have strong communication skills, demonstrate reactivity, flexibility and understand the importance of attending to even the smallest details.

Responsibilities

  • General production and coordination :

In cHarge of the coordination of the different types of events, you will help the production manager to organise and follow up all the projects and events of the fair. You will learn to identify the stakes and constraints from a technical, administrative and financial point of view. You will be in charge of contacting different external service providers for the development of the project ( requests for quotation, budget monitoring..) and coordinate the transmission of information to all stakeholders at each stage of the project. 

You will finally, follow up the implementation of the schedule, participate in the operational phases (assembly, daily operation, dismantling..) and deal with the unexpected to avoid budget and time overruns.  

  • Sponsorship and partnership prospection

Together with the production and partnership manager, you will work principally on developing our partnerships and sponsorship database. You will provide data management, help to identify potential prospects and research on prospective targets. 

  • Team management and mediation :

As the head of the volunteering team, you will have to help with the recruitment of the team of volunteers and mediators. A few weeks before 

the fair, you will manage the planning and coordination of the whole team of volunteers throughout the fair.

Required profile 

We are looking for a dynamic, organised person, able to demonstrate autonomy, rigour, initiative and adaptability with good interpersonal skills and showing a strong team spirit. We expect you to be proactive and flexible with the ability to complete multiple tasks under tight deadlines. 

Previous experience in the field of cultural project management is a plus and / or in event management. 

Excellent written/oral English and French.  Dutch is a plus.
The knowledge of Adobe Indesign is a plus. 

Benefits You will work in a small international team and learn how to organise and build such an ambitious event. You will be able to experience the behind the scene of the organisation of large scale events, while expanding your skills as well as your network.  COLLECTIBLE is an asbl and offers an unpaid internship (under the belgian regulations).

Timing : 

LookIng for an internship of min. 4 months (6 months is prefered)
From December/January to 1st of June 2021. (holidays possible, beginning and end of the internship need to be discussed). 

3 days /week minimum, full time prefered.  Full time obligatory from the 1st of Mai.
